The Company
Termomecanica is a metallurgical company which manufactures and sells brass and copper products, with industrial plants in Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Termomecanica is the leader in copper and its alloys transformation market in Brazil, Argentina y Chile, with a renowned experience in exporting to American and European continents.
In Argentina, its societarian denomination is Cembrass S.A, and its origins date back to the company “Pajarbol”, with more than 70 years of experience in manufacturing brass. In 2002, the company was acquired by Grupo CEM, the owner of Cembrass Chile, when the plant moved to Ciudad de la Plata, in Tortuguitas, in the industrial site with the same name situated in the province of Buenos Aires. In 2011, the Company was acquired by Termomecanica, which gave risen to a process of productive and technological investments that had never been seen in its history.
Technology
Termomecanica Argentina has the most advanced technology for the manufacture of brass. Its modern productive process comprehends cast, extrusion and drawing areas in which brass bars for forging andmachiningare produced.
The raw material used in the production process is the base of virgin metals (Cu, Zn, Pb) and a careful selection of brass and copper scrap. This assures a high level of quality in the manufacture of products designed for water, gas, automotive, locksmith, faucet and GNC industries, among others.

Plants
The administration department and productive plant are located in a 20.000 m2 building. In 2014, its constructed area has been strongly expanding, thanks to the construction of a new industrial area of 2.500 m2, which adds to the previous one with similar dimensions.
In such plants in Argentina, the production capacity is 7000 tons/year, with the manufacture of bars, sections and brass billets.
The current investments include the expansion of the products manufactured in Argentina in line with the brass and copper products offered by the industrial plants situated in Brazil and Chile.
As for equipment, the company counts on modern cast furnaces acquired in 2004 and 2012, a German 2000-ton- extrusion press, drawing machines from Europe and China as well as a modern laboratory which assures the quality of the products offered to the market.
